Information
BioCare Psyllium Plus (formerly Colon Care) is a combination
of ingredients designed to help cleanse the colon.
Psyllium husks are known to assist with the cleansing of the large
intestine by helping to remove putrefactive toxins and helping to
regulate effective bowel movements i.e. alleviate constipation.
Psyllium husks absorb fluid within the digestive tract, so helping to
"bulk-out" the stool, reducing the density of faeces, and so
making the muscular contractions of the bowel more effective in
propelling matter through.
Fenugreek is thought to be beneficial for maintaining healthy bowel
motility and mucus secretion.
Goldenseal help to inhibit the formation of toxins produced in the
bowel from the putrefaction of undigested protein in the bowel.
Cascara has gentle laxative properties and may help increase the
secretion of bile from the gallbladder.
